The Research & Development Cell of Rao Bahadur Y Mahabaleswarappa Engineering College (RYMEC), Ballari, in association with the IEEE RYMEC Student Branch, successfully organized an invited talk on “Research Directions in Aerospace Design, Proposal Writing & Funding Opportunities” on 12th April 2026 at the CSE Seminar Hall. The event aimed to strengthen the research ecosystem within the institution by providing valuable insights into emerging research domains and effective proposal writing techniques. It brought together experienced academicians and industry experts to guide faculty members, research scholars, and students on how to identify research problems, design impactful studies, and secure funding from reputed agencies.

The program featured two eminent resource persons. Dr. Virupaxi Auradi shared his expertise on structuring research proposals, highlighting key elements such as problem formulation, methodology, expected outcomes, and alignment with funding agency requirements. His session provided practical guidance and real-world examples, making it highly beneficial for participants aspiring to undertake funded research.

Dr. Madeva Nagaral delivered an engaging talk focusing on aerospace design and industry-driven research.
