Category of the Program: Universal Human Values, NSS, Yoga.
Date & Time: 21 June 2025 & 8AM to 10AM.
About the Programme:

The International Yoga Day 2025 was observed with great enthusiasm and participation, embracing the global theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.” The event aimed to promote holistic wellness through the ancient science of yoga while highlighting the deep connection between individual well-being, community health, and ecological balance.

The program began with an invocation, followed by a brief introduction to the significance of International Yoga Day. Participants included students, faculty, staff, and local community members, creating a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere.

The resource person, Shri C. Thippaiah Setty, a senior yoga teacher and District Correspondent of Sri Patanjali Yoga Shikshana Samiti (SPYSS), led the session. With over 25 years of yoga service, Shri Setty guided participants through foundational yoga postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation. His instructions emphasized proper posture, breath awareness, and mental calmness.

Participants engaged in a one-hour practical yoga session, experiencing first-hand the benefits of yoga for physical flexibility, stress relief, and emotional balance. Shri Setty also spoke about the deeper values of yoga—such as discipline, non-violence, and harmony with nature.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks and a collective affirmation to integrate yoga into daily life. Feedback from participants highlighted increased awareness of wellness practices and a desire to continue regular yoga.

This celebration not only marked a global occasion but also reinforced our commitment to sustainable living, inner peace, and community health through the timeless wisdom of yoga.
