ABOUT DEPARTMENT

The Department of CSE (Data Science) was established in the year 2022 with an approved intake of 60 students. Data Science, being an inherently interdisciplinary field, integrates key areas such as Statistics, Analytics, Knowledge Extraction, and Data Visualization. In today’s rapidly advancing technological world, the exponential growth of data demands a scientific approach that ensures precise handling, efficient analysis, meaningful knowledge extraction, and effective visualization. Data Science truly represents the seamless convergence of all these essential components.

This program provides students with robust mathematical, analytical, programming and engineering foundations, enabling them to pursue rewarding careers as Data Scientists, Data Analysts, Data Engineers, and other emerging professionals in the data ecosystem. The department is dedicated to training students in cutting-edge areas of data science and encouraging them to obtain internationally recognized certifications. Students are further motivated to participate in internships and real-time projects, enhancing their practical exposure and strengthening their industry readiness.
The dedicated faculty of the department work collaboratively to realize these goals. In addition, the department proactively pursues Memorandums of Understanding (MoU’s) with leading companies to strengthen industry–academic collaboration, thereby providing students with a smoother and more successful pathway to placements.
