Description of the activity (Group Discussion)
The “Group Discussion” activity was conducted to enhance the communication skills, critical thinking, and teamwork abilities of the 1st year of MBA & MCA students. In this activity, students were divided into groups and given topics related to business, management, current affairs, and social issues. Each group discussed the topic among themselves and shared their viewpoints, ideas, and opinions within the given time. The activity encouraged active participation, logical thinking, and effective expression of ideas. It also helped students improve their listening skills, confidence, and ability to work collaboratively. The session was interactive and informative, providing students with an opportunity to develop professional communication skills in a structured and engaging environment.
Outcome of the activity
The activity helped students improve their communication skills, clarity of thought, and awareness of current business and social issues. It encouraged them to express their ideas confidently while listening to and respecting different viewpoints. Participants developed critical thinking and problem-solving abilities by analyzing topics and responding logically within a limited time. It motivated students to stay informed about current affairs and business trends relevant to MBA & MCA studies. Overall, the session was engaging, interactive, and effective in building professional discussion and interpersonal skills among the students.
Description of the activity (Presentation)
The “Presentation” activity was conducted to enhance the communication skills, subject knowledge, and confidence of the 1st year MBA & MCA students. In this activity, students were assigned topics related to business, management, and current affairs, which they prepared and presented using PowerPoint slides. Each participant explained the topic clearly while highlighting key concepts, examples, and professional terminologies. The activity encouraged effective communication, logical organization of ideas, and public speaking skills. It also created an interactive learning environment where students gained exposure to different perspectives and concepts. The session was informative and engaging, designed to improve presentation skills while strengthening conceptual understanding and professional confidence.
Outcome of the activity
The activity helped students enhance their understanding of business concepts, current affairs, and syllabus-related topics while improving their subject recall. It encouraged them to stay updated with business trends and industry-related information essential for MBA & MCA students. Participants developed confidence in public speaking, improved their presentation and communication skills, and learned to organize their ideas clearly.
