About Computer Science & Engineering (Cyber Security) Department

B.E. in Computer Science & Engineering (Cyber Security) program at Rao Bahadur Y. Mahabaleswarappa Engineering College (RBYMEC) was established in the year 2024 with an intake of 60 students every year. It is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to protect digital infrastructure, data, and networks in an increasingly interconnected world. The program blends strong foundations in computer science with advanced training in cyber security tools, techniques, and methodologies.
This specialized program prepares learners to understand, detect, prevent, and respond to cyber threats through a combination of theoretical concepts, hands-on laboratory experience, and industry-driven projects. With the growing demand for cyber security professionals worldwide, this program opens a wide range of opportunities in both public and private sectors.
